Using the tools

You may use the character tools to compose and copy text for personal, educational, or professional purposes. You are responsible for the text you create and for checking it before submitting it elsewhere.

Do not use the website to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, or interfere with another person’s use. Automated requests must not place unreasonable load on the service.

Your text

You retain any rights you hold in text you enter. Using the composer does not transfer ownership of that text to us. The tool does not upload or permanently store your text; copy anything you need before closing or reloading the page.

Reference information

Typing instructions and character information are provided for general reference. Keyboard layouts, app behavior, fonts, and form restrictions can vary. Check that the copied character and spelling are appropriate for your use, particularly for names, records, and official submissions.

We aim to provide accurate information but cannot promise that every instruction works in every environment or that the service will always be available.

Website content

Individual characters and character codes can be copied using the tools. Original written explanations, branding, and site design may be protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not restrict uses permitted by applicable law or grant permission to reproduce the website as a whole.

Original diagrams and illustrations are governed by our image licensing and copyright policy. Linking to their public page is permitted, while reproduction or republication requires permission unless applicable law allows the proposed use.

External websites and advertising

The website may include external reference links or advertising. A link or commercial placement does not mean that the publisher endorses every statement, product, or service on the destination website. Third-party services are governed by their own terms.

Availability and changes to the service

The tools require a compatible browser, and copying may require clipboard permission. We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Keep a separate copy of important text; the composer is not a document-storage or backup service.
